Top middle of MO. land of green hills and grass | I'd look closer at the back where your trailer plug is. Thone should have had a trailer brake wire running back there already.
Did the trailer work with another pickup? When I bought a new PJ, we had to try at least 2 to find one that worked and was wired right. Dealer blamed me with my add on brake controller, and plugged his brand new pickup with built-in controller and soon after there was a funny smell from the dash and nothing worked after he tried the brakes.
Moral of the story, I wouldn't assume new is right. |
