There is fiber in our area, and it is all buried.  I am fortunate I have fiberburied to my farm, with high speed internet and TV.  Otherwise there is a fiber line buried in the road ditch, just near me. 

Overhead fiber is not common and now we know why.  I am thinking a machete would work on this low hanger, no live power there.
