Land has always shown a long term 1.5-2.5% appreciation. If you Have been seeing a consistent 5, then either get ready for a correction or more likely a decade plus of flat values.
The land I'm standing on was i think $40 90yrs ago, peaked about 3000 5yrs ago, about 2250 now. Unfortunately no huge correction in the near future. Too many old strong hands. Though 4pct 10 yr CDs at the local bank should at least get the non farmer investors slowed down in the local land market. |
