Back in ag economiccs almost 40 years ago, I remember the theme of diversifying retirement in farming. Wasn’t really working out all that well to count on a farm retirement. This was in the midst of the farm financial crisis of the early 80s. They really emphasized that and I believe it’s as true today as then. My advise would be to find an S&P index fund like Vanguard or Spartan. Very low annual cost and it’s very hard to beat the market anyway whether you pick stocks yourself or let someone do it for you. Be a Nike commercial: Just Do It! You will not regret.
