Subject: RE: Pool filling costs

NW Iowa. / SW Arizona
I’m sure I’ve got more pics somewhere but am not organized enough to know where closeups would be,sorry. Back in 1989 I hired a local contractor to dig out my dried up pond. When he finished that project I had him dig this roughly 24’x40’ pool. It’s again roughly 7’-8’ deep on one end and slopes to 2-3’ on the shallow end. Steps are formed out of the dirt underneath. The blue tarp is held in place by used silo blocks, those work great.

Our kids were 8 and 10 when we dug it and yes like you I lost a lot of sleep over it when I was done for fear of someone drowning. I do have the whole area enclosed in a chain link fence. I did tell my insurance company about it and it is endorsed with them, what surprised me is they didn’t raise my rates.
