Nebraska has a lot of cheap water but a few years ago I over watered my new lawn and received a call from the city worried of my 86,000 gallon useage. I ended up with a $166 water bill instead of the usual $80 (water, sewer, trash). City worker told me the houses with underground sprinklers use 30,000 gallons a month.
