South Central Iowa | I hope they do change their mind sooner or later. Pioneer is just a good name. They did all that laurel riding though, maybe with the spinoff it is a good time to focus on the problems that caused some brand damage, rectify those, and salvation reputation again. They need to invite us to a focus group, lol.
Oh good, they changed it back from Tronc. See my paper, the Des Moines Register such as it is, is a Gannett Publication, so I only see that when looking for articles. But the Chicago Tribune is a second tier below the AP, Times, Post, WSJ, USA Today, so I typically read an article from those bigger publications. Very glad they went back to a traditional name. Giving your paper a supposedly "hip and modern" name does not help your situation, lol. Not sure much anything can though. At least let it die with dignity.
