In a nutshell, it appears to me that the ceo David Perry comes up with an idea to build a company around, raises venture capital, builds the company, and then either sells the company or does an iPo.
In one of the you tube videos he describes who they have raised capital from. Some of the entities are farmers it appears.
If you watch the you tube video where the ceo is presenting at a Harvard luncheon you can see his thought process, hear his history, and discern his motivation.
