A basis spark would bear watching. A China buying spree would not be unnoticeable given all the public basis information at our fingertips today. The spreads and carry would not remain static.
If the Brazilian crop does end up bout 115 mmt instead of the 120-122 previous forecasts, and we picked up half of that shortfall.... 100 million bu. Tighten the carryover a little, but probably not enough to make a runaway market situation.
