Walnut Grove MN USA | Christenson auger vac. The only chain on the machine runs the auger. It is located near the bottom of the machine, runs at a 45 degree angle and at a fairly high speed. It is a pretty short #60 chain. It wears out in about 40-50 hours of use and sprockets in about 100 hours. It always craps out when it is either really cold or in the mud with trucks waiting to load. Have considered switching it to either a belt or hydraulic drive. | |
