What are the benefits? Other than a reduction in noise and no lube requirements I'm not readily coming up with any.
Conversely, other than cost, what are the draw backs to belts? How does the service life compare to chains? How important is maintaining tension (IE, do you need an automatic tensioner or is static tension OK)?
