SW OH
Several of the asphalt plants at work have changed the slat to a belt drive. I think the owners might be having second thoughts. I seem to see quite a few broken/chewed up belts in the dumpster.

I heard the switch was something like $10,000 each. The belt alone is $2,000? When a belt breaks, the plant guys can't just put a new one on and fire back up. It has to be tensioned by using some kind of electronic tuning devise. I'm going to an asphalt plant in the morning, I'll ask more questions.
