Sound good but not easy changes, basically a whole new machine. Not even close to a gleaner now and might deter the loyal gleaner guys? But I do realize gleaner will need to make changes and adapt to stay in the combine business.
CIH boys brag on the 40 years of the same design, but we Gleaner guys can't? IMO leave well enough alone. I dont think anyone that is considering a Gleaner wants a different design, they are just concerned about gremlins and other quality control and support issues. Perfect the current offering, service it well, demo the crap out of it, and sales will likely rise.
Agco could be at the brink of getting the custom market back if they would push it harder. They are trading cheaper than most currently, and that combined with the light weight and other positive attributes could win back some custom cutters. |
