As for the Ideal combine, it seems pretty silly to try and market something like that under a new name when a company has a long well established name in combines. If the company honcho's are that desperate to dump the Gleaner name then just call it a Fendt and be done with it. When I first heard "Ideal" I thought, wow, maybe New Idea is making a comeback, why would anybody do that? Giving it a new name is fine for the closed doors engineering drawings, but when the machine gets rolled out into the daylight it better have a connection to good customer support or it will whither on the vine. | |
