It all depends on your forage and ranges or if in feedlots. I run on desert country 6-7 months out of the year. You cant beg a cow to eat salt, mineral or even a lick tub. I've tried liquid protein, block and tubs if they grazing forage available, they won't eat enough to put it out. However move cows across state lines and they are salt hungry. I only feed mineral for about 4 months to cattle in idaho out of the year. They just quit eating it come spring. I've tried every brand, salesman you name it. It all depends on your area.
