Big Sky Country | there used to be a big area in Wyoming that 'everybody knew' running cows on--yr around--did not work.
But you could bring in yrlgs for summer and they thrived.
It's selenium deficient, the deficit just kept growing cows, calves had enough to make it thru. Selenium is a touchy one--difference between deficit and toxic dose is not very big.
most around here have strong calcium to phos ratio--if my minds working.
Neighbor to the north does it backwards of everybody else--very tough country and he does a great job--he didn't figure mineral wos working for him, did grass, hay, blood, hair samples. And gets him mineral custom made.
I know another outfit south of cascade. Did all the sampling--what are we short? Nothing. | |
