I’m dumb on precision ag stuff, so bear with me......

Your iPad is monitoring the ag info, which comes through a lan (wire, wireless wi-fi, ?) How does this connect to the iPad I’m guessing wi-fi?

Then you want to use the cell data of the phone, and broadcast that as a hotspot for internet connection to the same iPad wirelessly through Bluetooth?

So perhaps you are trying to pick up both a wi-fi signal and a Bluetooth signal, one is data and one is internet?

I’ve not messed with Bluetooth much, but just want to understand the base issues.

I know the iPad likes to focus on that WiFi signal as it’s prime internet access; when our router is good but the dsl internet goes down we have to shut off the WiFi in the iPad to make the cell data work. If I understand, you need to get the iPad to forget looking for internet on the WiFi, and focus on looking at the Bluetooth source?

Can you make the lan accept the hotspot from the phone and repeat it to the iPad along with the data flow?

Paul
