Texas/New Mexico Stateline | We looked pretty hard at 9600s last time we traded. All of them were worn out around the unloader in the bottom of the grain bin, and it looked like a huge job changing all that housing. Definitely more complicated as far as moving parts and changing belts.
Finally ended up getting an R72 which is exactly the same as a 62 except for HP and/or engine options. The R72 had much less wear, less hours, and cost about 60% of what a decent 9600 would have cost.
I am like the others, I am biased towards Gleaner. The way the crop goes through the machine is much simpler and less moving parts. Easy to work on I think.
If you have a good dealer I would choose Gleaner still.
