Subject: How much money does Usda dump into sare each year?

King City, Mo
I am for smaller government and maybe the sare program should be next on the chopping block.

We've all went to meetings on cover crops and saw a field here or there and tried some our selves. Some quit when the Usda money ran out. How much money has been spent by the Usda to promote cover crops and what percent of actual rowcrop (corn/bean) acres are getting cover cropped? Oh and how many acres of covers planted at 100% farmer expense not cost share Usda program. That is hard data the Usda has Via us certifying acres not polling the church choir to get the results they want.

Look when Rr1 soybeans came out and how quick they took over the market. Look how much corn is traited vrs nongmo. Farmers can adapt something quick if it makes them money or makes their life easier.

Driving around the covered fields are few and far between.

I personally have a love hate relationship with covers.
