western iowa,by Denison		it depends-here -Iowa my cover crop planted beans were less-my observations is that it sometimes works and sometimes does not-the corn I planted made100bu acre more then my neighbors corn that was planted in to rye covercrop-my corn planted into my rye covercrop was 50 bu less-I did not receive any grant money so I have no dog in the fight-I have noticed a trend that works for myself-we have run a no till jd drill from the first 750 jd drill made-My son no till drills over 2500 acres a year with a jd air drill in some of the worst conditions you could ever think of-mother nature rules-a 2.3 bu acre increase aacre in corn behind a cover crop is like throwing $50 at a$10 gain-still a minus -$40
I have 240 acres of cover crop in this year-drilled with my 1590 15ft drill-Think I would have been better off to buy a nice vacation'
Spending 50 to make 10 losing 40-whoopee,think you would puke Matt if you where faced with some real problems
