That would be on average across the board. A lot of ground is in a fallow/crop rotation. Margin might be quite a bit higher per crop or enterprise. We only harvest about 50% of our acres most years, some is idle waiting for moisture recharge, some is grazed and harvested by cattle.

Our ways of farming and margins are not so much different than the midwest percentages. Just add a zero on the end of what we do and it will be similar. Another way of illustrating is our land is literally 10% the value of corn-belt lands.

$20-30 seems like a pittance, but so does $100 an acre on $10,000 dirt in Iowa.
