just a tish NE of central ND | I got it off!!! BUT , It sure isnt pretty!!!!I tried the hot allen hex wrench and may other methouds and finally did the unmentionable and destroyed the hub and fan to get it off. I drilled into the setscrew from the end and got it free..I ended up drilling two small holes and steping up in bit size untill I finally got the hub cut open to the shaft......Lots of rust in there.
I hope the metal wheel is more user friendly. Thanks for the help and ideas...Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and destroy stuff to save a buck. |
