Right off the top of my head I come up with only one quick solution. Drill the set screw out down to the shaft. After removal, tap it out to the next size and use a larger set screw..................
Ive thought about that....... it is inside of a squrrel cage fan( no room for drill) and very close to the back side of the hub.(to close to run a bit mountd in a chuck straight into the screw)
