Driftless SW Wisconsin

roo - 6/23/2017 06:08 My commodity shed has a two foot overhang on the backside. This is open underneath, no soffit. Builder said this is enough vent to relieve pressure during high wind. Also keeps a little air moving through the building which I think helps with birds nesting.

Agreed. This is the same thing the builder of my 48 x 96 hay shed (which is open for 72 ft along the south wall) said.  Leaving the soffits open allows air through. We've had some very high winds.  Just have to make sure it has plenty of diagonal bracing.
