By gosh I still have my soil11111111111111111111111111111111111111
me to-there was a cover crop there after I chopped corn silage-we sprayed it early with round up-but having to much manure on top -my 1590 no til drill would plug up like a giant dump rake-first pass with field cultivator was about all I could get thru it-where I have tried no till in some fields my yields usually drop off 20-50%-I was one of the first owners of a 750 no till drill and tried several years to make it work and still dabble in it-Adam probably no tills about 3,000 acres of beans a year custom-we understand no-till more so then tillage haters understand-
We no tilled the cover crop-and we run lots of hay and wheat-rye crops also-where here its mostly corn and beans as there is not many with livestock-throw the livestock out I would probably be all no till
since adding my bedding pack barns are soil tilth has gone up tremendously-as every acre gets covered with a manure spreader-
lots of terraces-and we don't like going across rough fields
