"You say that it is less nutritious for grazing after it heads but in 10 days will make good baleage". I guess I don't understand why baling makes mature grass acceptable? I'm not saying headed out grass hay is unacceptable feed but rather that headed out grass in pasture is not the end of the world quality wise. I would like to cut hay also but the extended forecast is showing no sign of that happening any time soon. I little purple in the alfalfa field never killed a beef cow also I guess.
