I agree with the preparation part. Something I'm still learning and slowly getting better at. No opinion on the OP issue, only ordered from Shoup once or twice. But wanted to chime in on being prepared. We don't farm much, and we don't have a heated shop. I've done a lot of work in the shed during a snowstorm though...but central il and mn are two different climates. I try to keep as many parts on hand as possible. Some never get used and may never get used. But it's probably a couple hundred dollars that wind up sitting around. Pretty cheap insurance when you've got 3 days after work to put a crop in. I even work at a dealership. But I understand our equipment is older and it's not their job to make sure they've got us covered as far as parts on hand. Like I said, slowly getting better but I've got a long way to go in my own opinion. I've got big ambitions of always having the part I need on hand, crazy as that sounds!
