North Central Kansas | Question.
N application.
I am a big fan of nh3. The liquid...via cold flow.. gets in the ground where the roots need it. And its usually the cheapest.
Dry. I do not see how you can broadcast your needed rate, plus 10% more (as someone suggested) and expect it to get through all that mulch/thatch/cover/material and not get tied up in all that stuff, yet get to the plants roots.
Liquid...forget it...to $$$
I have a blue jet 30' unit, 20" centers. Currently set up with rolling coulters, mole knives, and disk sealers. I am guessing I can use my setup...but would prob be wise to change method of application? coulters/knives/sealers. Whats the Ag Talk suggestion
I am currently planting corn into a nice residue of wheat straw/covercrop. I can see the plusses...Hate the #@^#$%&*#%$QW@$ badger holes though. All the mice I saw running around in that field, no wonder there is a 72 hole golf course there. | |
