North Central Kansas
yes I do some wheat. but as the price goes down, so does my acres of it.

I was having the stalks grazed, but my grazer likes to leave em on till time to take cows to vet to preg check. By then the stalks and leaves are twigs.

So I thought I would halt that process.

My thinking...was beans followed by a 30lb rate of wheat for cover only. Then in spring go in with N.

What you are saying about taking of stalks and adding manure.... So the ridges that my unit leaves might not be too bad as a way to help break up the system. Just keep the VT out of it?
