Saronville NE | Liquid is not much higher IMO. A year ago was $28 an acre difference on 210 lbs on actual N. This year $12 bucks. So I used nh3 last year first time in over 10 yrs. This is my findings and yes I did go back to liquid this year. On a 12 r machine I used a tank of fuel per 1/4, I can do over 400 acres on a tank of fuel on liquid. I can do 240+ acres a day with liquid, only 1/4 a day with nh3. Plus I had streaking with nh3 that I never have with liquid also liquid is more efficient you can get by easily with 10% less. My math shows at $12 higher, I'm getting my money back just in saved fuel and hours on tractor, let alone more efficient. I'll stick with liquid. Also so much safer!! | |
