Here are some downsides to the liquid program.
Gonna handle approx. 3 times more product. Here to get the best price, to even get close to nh3 you have to be able to take delivery of some of it, if not all of it, for every semi load it's going to cost about $5000 up front cost to store it.
Depending on how busy the season is, our local coop will let a guy hookup to a tanker and haul and off load from that.
Sprayer capacity, I don't know what you guys run for actual n for the season, but here the typical applied volume of liquid would be between 45-70 gal acre, takes a hell of a sprayer to do that and hope to get anything accomplished.
And then there is the corrosion issue, nothing harder on a sprayer than 28%.
