Cedar Rapids, Iowa | My normal response would be that you're initial problem is that you paid money for an anti-virus product, and it was a norton product at that.
Upon reading the rest of your post, I see that you're happy with both Norton and SP3 for XP. Congrats to you, you're one of the few who has had good luck with them.
I doubt XP SP3 did much for increasing the speed. Likely it was the new version of Norton. Their programmers like to hijack the IP stack and do strange things with that data. Maybe they finally quit doing that in this release. | |
