That is the way the helicopter deal works and they will settle for a lot less I have heard here. It is pretty much a scam and is used more than the ambulance. You can join for a membership and is pretty cheap and that is what they are forcing folks to do. I think they have a deal with the ambulance that if they will call them the ambulance service will get paid more than if they had hauled them themselves. They are called for even minor deals here but have heard when the chopper gets to the hospital they get number 1 position. It is all a racket but when you are in trouble you cant say much and they know this. Pain changes the way things look to you.
