Bardstown, Ky | I have a friend who went through a divorce and had a few financial issues. Her job doesn't provide insurance so she picked a provider from kynect. That's Kentucky's version of Obamacare. She had a 4 wheeler accident where the handle bars basically smashed her face in. She was at an ATV course and they stat flighted her to the hospital. Now months later, the hospital is hasselling her over the bill for the helicopter ride, because the insurance co. has went bankrupt. It seems to me that, since she was paying her premium and had insurance as required, by law, the hospital needs to go to bankruptcy court to get their money. This is a bill for $31,000! Lawyer says that ultimately she is the responsible party, but this just doesn't seem quite right to me. Just more health care and insurance debauchery if you ask me! What do you guys think! | |
