Subject: RE: alleopathy from rye

NW IL, Mercer County
This corn was planted May 2 of this year. Sprayed it about 3 days ahead of planting with lexar, roundup, 27 gal 28%, and 5 gal ats. Top dressed with 90 units N as Super U. Never did measure it, but rye was pushing 12" in areas. Sprayed the rest of mine 2 weeks ahead. When I was planting I thought this was a huge mistake to let it get that big. Corn looked awesome all year long. One of the best yielding farms this year and it is poor soil types and nothing but hills. I'm going to try it again this spring.
