Nikon seems to have the most readily available accessories with the largest selection at a reasonable, not cheapest price.  Its a get what you pay for world for most things and cameras are no exception.  We have a D5000? I think and its fine for what we need.  Flip out and rotate screen helps.  More options than I can remember and know how to use and Auto setting does what I need.
