southwestern Pa, on the Mason-Dixon line
Garvo, your posts are what brought me and kept me at this forum. I have always been greatly interested in how you midwestern guys operate.
The NY guys hit the nail on the head...... things are different in other areas of the country.
I really didn't mean to be bragging on this deal.....I was just pleased with the deal.
I am 44 years old and have a couple of non-ag businesses that do pretty good, but they are tied into the coal industry, and I would like to ramp up my cow-calf business as coal goes down the toilet.
I absolutely love to run cattle, and I think that is rare in my area.
I had several uncles that each milked 20 or 30 Holsteins in stanchions, and carried milk to the milk house in pails to dump in the Mueller bulk tanks...If that tells you where I come from.
I will try to get some pics on here of my cattle and farms if I can butter up my wife to post them.

I think this forum has the most value when we support our members in their ambitions, and not try to rip them down.
