Sandy Hook, MB | Hello Russ In Idaho
Because there is a 0% chance that those nutrients will be absorbed into frozen soil & a greater chance that they would be susceptible to being carried off the property with the spring thaw. Here in MB, there is a ban on all nutrient spreading (manure, fertilizer, municipal wastewater sludge, bio-solids) for 6 months on frozen ground & livestock operations have to have storage capacity for 200 days. If it can be done here in MB, I'm sure that it could be done in areas where the ground isn't frozen for 1/2 of the year. |
