In the real world.....
It is 10 or 12 below zero. If the house and livestock are depending upon propane in the burners to keep warm, you are looking at life and death.
You work with your propane supplier, not antagonize thrm.
You really really need propane. It is not something you negotiate with.
No one around here is taking on a new customer. If you tell your supplier to pound sand, you are going to be real cold real soon.
If any supplier moved to $2.50 lp, their phone would shake off the wall. Everyone is at 20-50% fills, and worried about a shortage. Man, everyone wants their tank filled all the way up, and at several bucks less than the going rate..... That would be a worse disaster than $5 propane right now....
We need to work out the current shortage with rationing. And as much as that is hated, high prices and limited deliveries is the way that is done.
This summer will be when something can be done about it, but of course we will all be complaining about the hot weather and cost of air conditioning, so will forget about any heating issues....
