Subject: In fairness to Tru-count

Pittsburg, Kansas

In fairness to Tru-count one of the reasons we are having so much more trouble mounting the clutches is because we have 20" row spacing on a Bauer bar. The pictures below show that because of clearance issues around frame components it is necessary for the parallel linkage linkage hanger brackets to be on the inside of the parallel linkage. According to Darrin who is doing this project in our shop this causes three different clearance considerations depending on how the parallel arms are attached and where drive chains are. This just makes the whole process much more complicated than if it were on a 30" row space machine. A person has to pay careful attention as the air clutches are installed and make appropriate spacers to keep the clutch where it is supposed to be in alignment with the chain.

Once it all gets done it will work fine. It will just be a bear when we have to replace bearings as particular attention will have to be paid as the shaft is removed to where all the correct spacers go.        John
