boog - 7/13/2006 07:41  my wife runs a business that does business in both state & has always had to file income taxe forms in both states based on the sales amount for each state.

Yep, he understands that now.  What irritated him so much was not the having to do it, but the fact that over the life of the business (his dad and a partner started it, his uncle bought the partner out, then he bought the uncle out.  All happened over a 25 year time frame) 3 different CPA groups (not just individuals, but corporate CPA offices) failed to recognize the need and address it.  One was based in Indiana, and another has offices in both states!  And at the time he lived in Indiana!

I've been introduced to a new level of complexity since hiring my son-in-law to work with us.  I'm setting here now looking at a Form 941 and Form 941 Schedule B trying to decide if any of it or just what part applies to me.
