Mike, is your SIL working in your business or in the farm? Why I ask is if it's on the farm you need to be filling out a 943 instead of the 941. With the 943, the taxews have to be deposited monthly no matter what he is making a month unlike the 941 where the pay period depends upon the amonut of withholding.

I agree, the accountants weren't up to speed on their part. I would have been POed as well, especially having to pay a penalty. IMO, the accountant should have been responsible for the penalty, but I seriously doubt if they did.
