Southwest OK | I'm not busting on him. I have been there and it is a helpless feeling, but cattle can't be left in those conditions. There is always something else that can be done, and waiting on dry weather is not enough. Even if it means emptying a machinery shed and running hot wire around the gravel equipment yard and making feed troughs out of two by twelves. Not ideal at all, but better than what they are in now. As stockmen we are required to do whatever is necessary for the well being of our animals. Sometimes we have to be reminded of that and there is no nice way to tell someone to stop talking and get to work. Post the pics when you've fixed the problem. I know that is rude, but its what needs to be said. Sometimes rudeness is kindness in work clothes. I am sorry to be so blunt, but really no other way I can think of to say it. | |
