west central iowa | This is the wettest spring on record in 142 years, and my cattle lots show it. If I were to start piling and hauling all of it out, so as to get to the bottom of the mud, I think I would have close to 1,000 loads!!!! Then If it would stay dry long enough, I would need to bring back in 2,000 loads of dirt/clay to get yards back into shape. I can't afford to do either one and don't have enough time to even try. I really wish I could pour more concrete, but thanks to the current cattle futures, that has to wait for better times to come. Also took a couple pics. of the equipment we use to haul manure to the stock piles during the summer. Unfortunately we are behind on that work BIG time. | |
