NW Illinois Stephenson county
Your cattle look pretty good considering the conditions they are in. I am far from a Mr know-it-all, but you need to do something NOW! before your banker or some one else does it for you! 1) take down your pictures 2)Hire a dozer to push some mud back and start hauling 2" rock so they have a better place to lay, you have the truck. 3) Do you have a bunker with a floor you can gate up. 4)It looks dry where your spreaders and truck is parked, figure out a way to fence it off (use machinery, wagons, trailers or some thing) 5) Is there any empty buildings in your area that you could use? 6) Could you take some to a custom feed yard? 7) Fence off a few acres of ground for them to go 8)Or any combination of these. I'm on your side, but how many cattle would you lose if you don't do anything? Cattle could trip on the ones laying in 2' of mud and not be able to get up and suffocate. Good Luck!
