I got to just buying the frozen hamburger patties when I needed hamburger for anything I could just get a patty out sure beat buying a pound of burger. If you can buy meat in smaller portions that will help. It's hard and not much fun to cook for one. Another idea is check the internet for cooking for 1 recipes
