Subject: Re: Florida Road Trip for rookies

Hastings, Florida
I live near St.Augustine, in Hastings (which is a major winter vegetable growing area) and Mike gives a good description. Consider seeing Daytona Speedway, it is right next to Interstate. Some of our beaches allow cars to be driven on them, Daytona included. Visiting Cape Kennedy to see the rockets is amazing. Not real expensive, and very informative about our Space Program.
March is the busy time of year for tourists . Bike Week in Daytona, Spring Break all happen in March. The point being we get crowded, prices are higher, and the many camp grounds do fill quickly. Perhaps a stop in Richmond, Virginia, to see the Museum of the Confederacy, which was our Southern White House. Very good, and right on I-95.Savannah is a great place,I agree.
