High Springs, Florida
Since you are going down I95 you might be interested in the St. Augustine area, which is quite touristy. Just south of there is Butler and Crescent Beaches, which where we go, if we want to go to the beach. Just south of Butler and Crescent, is Matanzas Pass, a good fishing area. If you are lucky and the mullet are running you may see hundreds of dolphin coming in the pass for the mullet run. And just south of there is Marineland, where you can pet and swim with the dolphins. (For a fee, of course.) Just west of Crescent and Butler beaches is Hastings. Lots of potatoes and other veggies grown in that area. Green South has a JD dealership there.

On the way down I95 you may want to stop in and check out Savanna, Georgia. Much history there. South of there, close to the Florida border, is Jekyll Island, Georgia. Some really nice beaches there and some history. There is a campground there as well.

I am sure others will chime in.
