while i don't totally agree with everything charlie has said, the landlord comments are worthy of merit,we have a operation that encompasses 3000-4000 acres, and if the coffee shop einsteins knew how many of their landlords had called us looking for a bid on their land, well lets say there would be great stress.i would say that easily we could be farming another 2 thousand acres, this is where i guess the moral thing comes in,have to look those people in the eye at church every sunday, their kids go to school with my kids,etc..we have some bto's in our area as well, and i personally know a guy that railed against anybody farming more than 300 acres, farm bureau member, elder of the church etc.,kinda had a young guy lined up to take over when he retired, when he finally retired, couldn't get to his local bto fast enough.morales

I know a Liberal in MI that says Farmers should not be allowed to Farm more than 500 to 1,000 acres.. then he goes on to tell me that he and 19 of his Cousins and Siblings own 40,000 acres in South Dakota where his Grand Father Homestead??

How can you reason with a Liberal ??
