North Central Indiana | They wish they could farm as much as he does. Their morals are relative to their situation in life. They also jumped to the plate to accuse when Illinois Family farms folded up. It was ....and still is ....none of their business. They live several hundred miles away, don't even know the guy, use a magazine for a reference, and yet they are instantly experts as to why, how and what happened. It's pathetic. What a waste of time. Maybe they should take heed lest they too fall. I'm sure they make mistakes too. Maybe we should talk about their mistakes for a change. That wouldn't be fun now would it?!! As time goes on, there will be more and more large operations eating up land. Small guys will be able to trump them and hang on by having more equity in the land that they own. Get off your tractor and start running it as a business instead of a hobby if you want to compete. The glory of hearing the rooster crow every morning gets old when you don't have any dirt left to farm. | |
